The first community to settle was at Alexander Murray’s property ‘OAKLANDS’. Mrs. Murray called it Oaklands because of a group of Oak trees close to her home. Oaklands is a small, farming community based in Wiradjuri country. The current estimated population of Oaklands is 310 people. Read this book to find out more about this small, quiet town.
